All the little details

Ripe Melons {or expectant mommies!}

The best time for these portraits is between 32 and 36 weeks, so that you can really show off your cute tummy!  I love injecting plenty of personality into expectant mommy shoots and suggest selecting outfit choices that flaunt your personal style.  You may want something simple for some belly-focused shots as well.  Maternity photos are also beautiful inside your home, where you are most comfortable and with your other kiddos and spouse.  There is so much flexibility with these pictures and I am always up for creative new ideas, so please share yours and we will create a session that is just perfect for you, your new little one, and your family.  These sessions will last between an hour and an hour and a half, giving me time to get to know you, so that I can represent your family with your pictures.

Itty Bitties {Newborns}

I love meeting your itty, new bundles of joy withing the first 14 days after they are born because this is when they are at their babiest.  In case that {perhaps} made-up word meant nothing to you, allow me to explain.  Newborns are most content, sleep easiest, and have the clearest skin within their first two weeks, which makes for amazing, squishy, sleepy baby pictures.  I recommend booking while the bun is in the oven and staying in contact with me so that we can adjust the date, if necessary, closer to the big day.  On the day of the session, please make sure your house is nice and cozy warm so that your little bitty won't be too chilled to sleep.  When I say warm, I insinuate that you and I should be quite toasty.  Remember, the little nugget has been all warm and snuggly for nine months and we want to keep him comfy!  Babies are best photographed nude or in plain white diapers {preferably with a diaper cover} because clothes just fit funny on tiny little bits.  My camera also loves all of those sweet baby wrinkles, so we want to show them off!  Be prepared for your session to last between one and two hours, to allow plenty of time for feeding and mommy cuddles in between pictures.

Love Stories {Engagements}
Oh love, sweet love!  These are some of my favorite things to shoot. {Ok, who am I kidding?  They are all my favorite!}  I just find that when you take two people in love and place them in front of a camera, everything just falls into place and makes my job superbly easy.  I love to try different locations and ideas to best represent you as a couple, so please do share!  I would suggest one outfit change per session if you would like to add some variety.  Plan on the shoot lasting one to two hours so that we have plenty of time to chat about juicy details like how you met and wedding plans.  I am a girl after all!

The Graduates {Seniors}

Personality is key for senior sessions, so please don't be afraid to tell me what you like and I will work with you on a location and setup to best represent your amazing style!  I generally suggest three outfit changes and can also work with location changes as well.  Also, bring a parent along for the shoot.  It is amazing how helpful it can be to have someone over to watch our p's and q's and keep your hair, makeup, and outfit looking their best.  Senior sessions last from one to two hours depending on the number of outfit and location changes.  I try to keep it high energy and fun, so come relaxed and ready to have a good time!

The Whole Gang{Families}

There are few things better than meeting the whole crew for a little fun!  I take a completely relaxed approach to family portraits, so let your kids be kids, husbands be husbands, and dogs be dogs {if you want to include your furry family members!}.  I want your family portraits to be a true reflection of your family, so we will schedule the session wherever you feel most comfortable.  Downtown, park, home-sweet-home, I'll meet you at the location of your choice.  Don't worry about matching outfits, coordinating looks are great!  Family sessions usually last for an hour to an hour and a half at most depending on the size and age of your crew.

This list is certainly not exhaustive, so if you have any questions or special requests, please contact me and I will be more than happy to answer them!
