Chris couldn't look at her as she walked down the aisle. His friends had assured me throughout the day that he wasn't the least bit plagued by nerves, but his mannerisms told me otherwise. He knew that she'd be beautiful, he just didn't know how beautiful. And I believe he thought that he'd surely break down his tough exterior with tears the moment his eyes met hers. Amber was just as nervous, but couldn't wipe the smile off her face as she descended the aisle in her teal cowboy boots. When they finally laid their eyes on one another, however, all of the nerves seemed to wash away. They just needed to see each other. To grasp hands and be close together. And from there, they beamed their way through their vows. Just Amber and Chris. On their wedding day. Perfect together. And nothing could take away from the beauty that they were husband and wife. Not heat, or gnats, or sweat, or tears could wash away their happiness in knowing that they will forever be co-pilots on the journey through life. Sharing in each other's happiness. Wiping away each other's tears. Cheering on the Florida Gators. And making sure to keep one another laughing all the way. Because that is what Amber and Chris do.
I hope you two had a fabulous Puerto Rican honeymoon. And I wish you an incredible first football season together as marrieds! Thank you so much for choosing me to share in your special day. The beauty of it certainly brought me to tears more than once. Happy happily ever after!
